Working in the CRM
Working in the table
The Main table works like a spreadsheet. Click a cell to change it, move around with the keyboard, paste blocks of cells from Excel or Google Sheets, and undo mistakes. Every change saves as you make it; there is no Save button.
See it instead of reading it. The CRM board: a 3-minute guided tour on a sample board.
Add rows
- 1Click New (it is labelled with the board's record type, such as New deal) at the top left, or the + New line at the foot of any group.
- 2Type the name and press Enter. The row is saved and a fresh row is ready below it.
- 3Press Esc on a row you have not named yet to throw it away.
Edit cells
- Click a cell to edit it, or select it with the arrow keys and press Enter.
- Status and Person cells open a picker. Date cells open a calendar.
- Delete or Backspace clears the selected cell.
- ⌘/Ctrl + Z undoes the last cell edit or rename.
Paste from a spreadsheet
Copy a block of cells in Excel or Google Sheets, select the cell where the top-left value should land, and press ⌘/Ctrl + V. The block fills across and down from there. For more than a few hundred cells, use Import instead: it lets you match the columns first.
Fill down
Select a cell and drag the small handle at its corner down over other rows to copy the value into them, the same way you would in a spreadsheet.
Reorder and move rows
Hover a row and drag the grip at the left of its name. Drop it higher or lower in the same group, or in another group. A blue line shows where it will land.
